Leveraging two iconic elements of Toronto’s urban fabric, street signage and modest brick, our wayfinding program pays homage to the namesake of the building—strada, meaning street in Italian. Drawing inspiration from the graphic elements of Toronto street signs, we adorned the design with bold black and white copy and frames. Moreover, we reflected the modularity of brickwork through carefully stacked or twisted units in the interior wayfinding elements. In the underground space, classic Italian car images and large supergraphics whimsically guide users through the space.
By seamlessly incorporating Italian heritage into every aspect of the building, our Experiential Graphic Design program not only elevated the brand and presence of this boutique condo, but also immersed residents and visitors in an unforgettable experience celebrating the vibrant spirit of Little Italy.
