Parkside Square is a new multi-phase, multi-tower dedicated rental community. At the corner of Sheppard Ave. and Consumers Rd in North York, the development was designed as a response to the densification of an emerging node of Toronto. The project is pivotal to the introduction of families and residential opportunities in an area previously defined by industrial and commercial uses. Profiting from a fortunate location with extremely easy access to major highways and mass-transit, our client defined the site to be expressly designed to make life easier.

Phase 1, rising 24 stories is now complete and occupied. Proving to be in very high-demand, suites were assigned to residents incredibly quickly, with a diverse selection of layouts available in one, two, and three bedroom formats. The rental suites to appeal to a wide-range of end users, taking their design ques from more traditional apartment designs found close to the project. The units are intentionally spacious with traditional, defined, kitchen spaces and livable proportions in other spaces. Parkside Square has been carefully planned with commercial spaces in the podium, as well as easy access to other shopping, parks, restaurants, and entertainment to build a sense a community.

When fully complete, the site will contribute fours towers of 26, 34, and 43 storeys, with the final building’s height still being planned to the growing skyline of the area. The buildings’ designs complement one another, with articulated facades and contemporary materials bringing an urban, yet approachable aesthetic. As this is a new-build environment, particular attention is being paid to the project’s interaction with streets and the public realm. Park space for residents and the general public is also being added, to ensure residents have ample access to outdoor areas. When fully complete the project will embody our client’s mission of Parkside Square being “city life the way it’s meant to be – comfortable, calm, and close by.”
