Loblaw Companies Limited

Size

1,175,000 sf

Bringing employment opportunities to the local community, and connecting  products to their point-of-sale, this large-scale facility is strategically designed for success.

Turner Fleischer, as the architects who control the standards for all Loblaw distribution facilities, designed this massive 1,175,000 sf distribution centre, with warehousing, as the prototype for nation-wide introduction. With its impressive scale and complex variety of program needs, this distribution center is the test site for all the future similar facilities in the client’s network.

A complex building, with many stakeholders and needs, the final structure includes multi-temperature refrigerated areas, office facilities and loading docks. The completion of the center also required careful coordination of the multi-disciplinary engineering team with the Loblaw Clients Group.
