Turner Fleischer will lead as the Prime Consultant on this “Generation 6” Marriott format hotel. The project commenced in March 2016, with a two-year schedule to completion and is comprised of a 9 storey, 174 rooms Courtyard hotel, totalling 120,000 sf. Beneath grade, there is underground parking for 93 cars. A unique timber project, floors 2 to 9 are wood-framed structure.
Given the project’s location, and geological constraints, the structure uses unique engineering for earthquake stabilisation. Beyond the upper floor hotel rooms, the ground floor includes amenities areas, conference rooms, hotel administration, pool & fitness centre as well as additional function rooms including options for food and beverage.
