The Turner Fleischer Site Development team designed a project that serves the retail and commercial needs of a growing community in Guelph, Ontario. Buildings have been placed to line the public streets, creating a vibrant urban built form, one that interacts with the public realm. The use of glazing, canopies and articulation along the façade adds visual interest to the site, and engages shoppers to spend more time at this complex.
Working with the City of Guelph and project stakeholders, the Turner Fleischer team made sure the site met municipal approvals, specifically zoning and urban design standards for the community. Located at a key and visible intersection, this is an interesting site for a development of this scale, the significant grade changes made positioning the buildings a key component to the developments success and viability.
